Chevrolet Equinox Performance Features

Chevrolet has been a leading player in the automotive industry since before World War II. One of their newest and most popular models is the Chevrolet Equinox, which we’ll be discussing today. The Equinox comes with a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that can produce 182 horsepower at 6400 rpm and 172 pound-feet of torque at 3200 rpm, making it an excellent performer for your everyday needs. But what about those special occasions? The Equinox also features a six-speed automatic transmission with overdrive to help you take on long stretches of highway or country roads without any issues!
The Equinox is perfect for those who find themselves having to drive long distances on a regular basis. Chevy used things that would maximize comfort for the driver and passengers, giving you an SUV that will keep you safe and secure at all times. Items like Stabilitrak® (a vehicle stability enhancement system), 4-wheel disc brakes (with ABS), Stabilitrack®, electronically controlled brakes, tire pressure monitoring system, airbags, traction control are just some of the systems that are included in this vehicle.
Chevrolet Malibu Safety Features
One of the most important features for drivers is safety. The Chevy Malibu has some of the latest and greatest safety features that can give you more confidence on the road. For instance, this car has Forward Collision Alert with Active Braking which will sound an alarm if it senses a potential collision in front of you; Lane Departure Warning alerts drivers when they’re unintentionally drifting out of their lane; Rear Cross-Traffic Alert warns drivers about vehicles approaching from either side while reversing at low speeds. It has a lot of cool safety features which you can find here.
The Malibu also provides complete comfort for everyone on board, including the driver and passengers as well as those in the back seat thanks to its Rear Seat Adjustable Cushion Extension that enables rear occupants to extend their leg room and recline using a one-touch button. Also, you can adjust its rear head restraints to optimize the rear head-curtain airbag for either height or width.
The Malibu has a number of driver assistance features that are unique only to the model. For instance, it’s equipped with Bose® Premium Sound System which provides crystal clear sound quality thanks to Bose technology.
This is lithium. Pretty soon, we are going to need a lot of it. Lithium is a useful metal. It spends its entire existence trying to get rid of its one outer electron, but, crucially, this reaction can be both controlled and reversed. That means, properly configured, the metal can discharge energy when needed, take in more energy, and then discharge that energy. Essentially, it can act as a battery.
It’s only been a few decades since lithium-ion batteries reached commercial feasibility, but, in that time, they have become the power source of choice for portable electronics thanks to their perfect blend of safety and lightness. However, the latest major tech boom, the latest infatuation of Silicon Valley and Wall Street alike, is centered around the most extensive consumer electronics product to date: electric vehicles.
Electric vehicles need a whole lot of lithium.

Mary Barra got on stage and presented a ton of information about the future of GM and Chevrolet. First, she reaffirmed GM’s goal of zero tailpipe emissions from light-duty vehicles by 2035 and expanded on that by adding heavy-duty vehicles to that goal. Then she talked about commercial partnerships with FedEx and Walmart for an electric fleet. Finally, after about 45 minutes, she got to what we were waiting for.

Heavy-duty pickups like the Chevy Silverado tackle the toughest worksite jobs as a general rule. Towing tons and hauling heavy stuff requires a pickup with advanced safety features. The Chevy Silverado doesn’t disappoint. Take the following safety features our Donohoo Chevrolet team selected as examples.
Watching Your Back
Backing out of or into tight parking spaces is tricky. Traditional rear-view mirrors have their benefits and limitations. Meet the Rear Vision Camera. It’s a backup camera mounted on the Chevy Silverado’s rear. It offers a view of the space directly behind the Chevy Silverado, helping you back up with more confidence and ease.
Surround Vision
Rear and surround cameras are part of a multi-camera system that provides all sorts of critical vehicle exterior views. Surround view is a 360-degree, top-down view, a bird’s eye view. It showcases all four sides of the pickup as well as the surrounding road and nearby vehicles. This feature helps with parking, changing lanes, hitching and trailering.
GM Plans An All-Electric Future
In January 2021, General Motors (GM) made a stunning announcement. It aspires to eliminate tailpipe emissions from new light-duty vehicles by 2035, meaning that GM intends to stop selling gas-burning cars.
Over the past several years, GM executives have made announcements touting the carmaker’s commitment to winning an all-electric future. But, of course, rivals such as Tesla, the world’s most valuable automaker somehow, sell only electric vehicles. So GM saying they are going to win electric comes with stiff competition.

What to expect
We are excited about the redesigned 2022 Silverado 1500. The redesign sees a new interior decked out in technology and comfort and a self-driving feature for higher trim options. In addition, the 2022 will see a renewed focus on engine options outside of the tried and true 5.3L V8. Instead, you can expect to see more 6.2L V8s and two very viable options in the 2.7L 4-cylinder and 3L 6-cylinder diesel. The new Silverado can tow up to 13,300 pounds and has a near-limitless number of technologies that help with towing.
