Finding an affordable vehicle that meets your needs and doesn’t break the bank is difficult in today’s new car environment. But, the good news is we have a solution for you.

The 2022 Silverado 1500 Work Truck.

We are offering our Work Trucks at $3,000 off MSRP. That puts our price at $45,470. If you are a fleet customer or someone that qualifies for supplier pricing or a discount program, you will save even more. The Work Truck was a no-frills, low-technology truck. In the 2022 model year, a lot has changed, including the level of comfort and tech in this truck. (Prices are subject to change, guaranteed through 7/5/22)

The 2022 Silverado Work Truck incorporates a restyled front fascia with an updated version of the ‘CHEVROLET’ script-style black grille. Instead of being embedded in the thick crossbar of the front grille, like on the previous WT, Custom and Custom Trail Boss, the ‘CHEVROLET’ lettering is now more neatly integrated into the overall grille design and resides higher on the front fascia.

Moving the crossbar higher within the grille is in line with the higher-up placement of the Chevy bow tie on the refreshed upper-level trims like LT, LTZ, and High Country. The crossbar has also been toned down to take on a thinner and more nuanced shape.

The small, gold Chevy Bow Tie continues to reside within the lower corner of the grille, as are a set of black tow hooks. The halogen headlights are present and accounted for, much like they were on the Silverado WT for the 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 Limited model years.

Also, note the ‘Silverado’ hard badge on the front fender, followed by a set of black door handles and mirrors. Though the standard wheels are 17-inch painted steel wheels, we believe the $350 of MSRP is worth it to use the 17-inch bright silver painted aluminum wheels instead. See the picture above of one of our work trucks with these wheels and compare to the stock image of the 17-inch steel wheels. We believe your resale value on the truck will be at least $350 better by having the more attractive look of the aluminum wheels. Additionally, the truck will look a lot better while you own it.

Though the base engine for the work truck is a 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine, our work trucks on order and on the ground are all the 5.3 V8 engine. This makes our work trucks particularly attractive for customers that want the V8 but don’t want to pay over $50,000 and up to $60,000. The gain on highway driving for the 2.7 over the 5.3 is only 1 MPG, so while there is a gain on the 2.7, it is not substantial.

When General Motors first announced the refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500, it was a little disappointing that the Work Truck and Customs did not receive the new interior. However, after getting our hands on the 2022 Work Truck/Custom trucks, we don’t mind the decision.

As we mentioned above, the interior of this 2022 Work Truck hasn’t changed much from the previous generation. One thing to note is the Vinyl interior seats. You can see a picture of it above. These seats look like leather, are durable like cloth, and are completely waterproof. These Vinyl seats are the best option for those who need more out of their truck than just being a weekend warrior.
